BRIDGEWATER, NJ - According to the township, in order to process materials on the site, the yard waste site will be closed beginning Jan. 15, and will reopen March 15.

After March 15, residents will be able to take their yard waste to 136 Foothill Road or they can get a permit from the Public Works Department for their landscaper to visit the yard waste site twice at no cost.

The yard waste site itself is for the disposal of brush, leaves, grass, woodchips and logs only.

Christmas trees can be taken to several locations for disposal: Ardmaer Park, Cedarbrook Part, Chimney Rock Park, Thomae Park and the Yard Waste Facility. There will be signs posted in the parks about specific locations for leaving the trees.

The township is requesting that all decorations be removed from now until Jan. 15.
