Summer Nature Day Camps at NJ Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary start on June 25! A range of exciting and educational camps that help connect children to nature, Scherman Hoffman's Nature Day Camps are available for children entering grades K through 6, and begin June 25, running through August 31, 2018.

NJ Audubon has a long history of connecting children of all ages with nature by exploring, discovering and enjoying our local forests, fields, streams, and ponds. NJ Audubon staff are committed to guiding children in outdoor adventures that foster a deeper connection with the natural world and that are engaging, fun, and support STEM learning through hands-on experiences. The NJA summer education team is highly trained and provide additional educators and counselors to maintain optimal teacher child ratios.

In 2017, 1,000 children attended New Jersey Audubon’s summer camps state-wide, experiencing nature in countless fun-filled ways.  When surveyed about their child’s camp experiences, 96% of parents said their child was “more aware of nature”, 94% said their child was “more respectful of living things in nature”, and 97% said they had seen their child take “positive action toward the environment.”
