Using & Preserving Culinary Herbs Workshop

Herbs are all about flavor and reducing the need for salt.  Family & Community Health Sciences (FCHS) invites you to attend its Herbs Add Flavor: Using & Preserving Culinary Herbs Workshop on Wednesday, July 17 at 10 am-12 pm or 6:30 -8:30 pm at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office, 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater.

Learn about culinary herbs – how to pair them with food and use them in cooking, also how to preserve by freezing or drying. There will be demonstrations and tastings of pesto, salsa verde, herb sugar and cucumber soup with mint. Bring one stick of butter to make herb butter to bring home!

Register by Monday, July 2, 2018.  Cost is $15 per person. Light refreshments and food samples included.
