Basilone Memorial Foundation Holds Annual Parachute Drop

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Basilone Memorial Foundation held its annual parachute drop at TD Bank Ballpark Sept. 10.

At the event, a Marine paratrooper jumps out of a helicopter hovering over the outfield, and releases 1,000 toy G.I. Joes with parachutes at a bullseye target in center field. Participants sponsored G.I. Joes, and those landing closest to the target had the chance to win prizes.

Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club Holds Annual Run on 80th Anniversary

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - As part of its 80th anniversary, and despite being rained out on its original date, the Bridgewater-based Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club held its annual Labor Day run through Hillsborough, Hopewell and Flemington and back to its headquarters on Old York Road in Bridgewater.

The run was held Sept. 10.

Bridgewater Creative Arts Committee Seeking Talent in the Town Submissions

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Creative Arts Committee is holding its 5th Annual Talent in the Town Series, and is calling for entries for the October exhibition.

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 22, and the exhibit will be held from Oct. 9 through Nov. 3, with an opening reception Oct. 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Tradition Lives at 2017 Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair

EAST AMWELL, NJ – The Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair is underway. The food, fun and excitement continues until 10 p.m. today.

The Fair is also open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday. The hours on Sunday are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
