BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Creative Arts Committee is looking for local artists to design a mural to be painted on a building at the Kid Street playground, in the Bridgewater Township municipal complex on Garretson Road.

According to a release, the space, on the rear side of the building housing the public restrooms, is 11 feet wide by 7.5 feet tall.

The design, the release said, can be of any subject, but the content should be geared toward the children and families who frequent the playground.

Artists can send their proposed artwork to bridgewater.arts@gmail.com by April 30.

After the deadline, the release said, the committee will select the top five submissions. A public vote will be taken on the group's Facebook page, and through an online survey sent to the committee's email subscribers.

Anyone who wants to subscribe to the committee's email list should send an email to bridgewater.arts@gmail.com.

The committee is committed to providing opportunities for residents to experience fine and performing arts. It is staffed by volunteers, and they work to display art created by local residents for the public's enjoyment and enrichment.
