Chinese Night Held at Bridgewater-Raritan High School to Celebrate New Year

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - In celebration of Chinese New Year, Chinese Night was held at Bridgewater-Raritan High School Feb. 23.

Mrs. Tsai, the advisor of Chinese Honors Society, and student officers Priscilla Chan, Rashi Gala, Caroline Huang, Jerry Kong, and Halanna Yuh coordinated the event.

During Chinese Night, guests were treated to performances representing Chinese culture, including a Chinese yo-yo dance, a fashion show featuring traditional Chinese qipao dresses and changshan jackets, a rap song spoken in Mandarin and a Chinese kung-fu performance.

Special thanks to Daniel Kuo, Justin Hsu, and Evelyn Fu for their performance on Chinese yo-yo, Joanna Li for hosting the fashion show, Parth Darji, Jason Lam, and Rohan Patel for reciting their Mandarin rap, Dean, Robbie, and Zach Hsieh for performing kung-fu, and for all members of the Chinese Honors Society for making Chinese Night such a huge success.

Bridgewater Police Investigating Report of $2K Worth of Tools Stolen from Car, According to Report

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report of a theft of more than $2,000 from a vehicle parked at the Home Depot, in the Bridgewater Towne Center, according to a report.

A Hillsborough resident reported June 3 at about 5:58 p.m. that his vehicle had been burglarized while parked at the Home Depot. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.
