RARITAN, NJ - Raritan Borough is decorating windows to bring a little cheer and thanks to residents during the quarantine.
First, residents are being asked to place "Hearts of Thanks" on their windows, doors and mailboxes to honor nurses, doctors, pharmacists, police, firefighters, letter carriers, Fed Ex/UPS drivers, local restaurants and all others working hard to help during the coronavirus pandemic.
Those wanting to participate are asked to text their friends about this heart movement in town so everyone can show their appreciation and support.
Pictures of windows can be sent to Lschulte@raritan-nj.org to be posted on the borough website and Facebook page..
The borough is also holding a virtual Easter bunny and egg event from now through April 11 since the annual Easter egg hunt originally scheduled for April 4 had to be canceled.
Kids are asked to draw a bunny and put an "R" on it for Raritan, then draw some Easter eggs and tape them on the windows so when people walk, they can go for an egg hunt.
Take pictures of these and send them to Lschulte@raritan-nj.org to be posted on the borough website and Facebook page as well.
Both programs are sponsored by the borough events committee.
And send those photos to firstname.lastname@example.org too, to be posted on our website and in the next issue of The BReeze!
