RARITAN, NJ - In honor of Raritan Borough's 70th anniversary, the borough's events committee held an I Love Raritan poster contest, for students to celebrate what they love most about their home.

Instead of choosing first, second and third place winners, all those who participated were honored at a special ceremony March 2. Everyone received a gift card, candy bag filled with tootsie rolls and a certificate of appreciation for their participation.

The contest was for all ages, and any groups or businesses could participate by creating a poster and image to show what they love most about Raritan, from the food to the people, the river to the businesses. Participants were being asked to talk about who they are thankful for, what makes Raritan a great place to live and what they like best about the town.
