BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The AC Hotel by Marriott Bridgewater, on Somerset Corporate Boulevard, celebrated its official ribbon cutting and grand opening Jan. 31 with employees and Marriott officials, as well as Bridgewater councilman Howard Norgalis, and Chris Edwards, of the Somerset County Business Partnership.

The hotel is the brand’s first property in New Jersey, and the property is owned by the Briad Lodging Group, LLC. According to a release, the hotel will feature the Briad’s newest concept, the Bradford, which is a rooftop experience serving fine spirits and tapas.

That is expected to open in spring 2020.

The hotel has 150 guest rooms.

The Bridgewater Township Council approved a zoning change at the Somerset Corporate Center in February 2017 to pave the way for applications before the planning board for the hotel and what later became Lifetime Fitness gym.
