RARITAN, NJ - The new Quick Chek, off the Somerville Circle in Raritan, held a special ribbon cutting Monday to celebrate the grand opening of the new store.

The official opening date for the store is Tuesday, Oct. 2.

On hand to celebrate the grand opening were Raritan Mayor Charles McMullin, Sen. Christopher Bateman, Rep. Leonard Lance and Raritan Little League members.

The new store is about 5,500 square feet, with eight gas pumps, and entrances off Route 202 and Route 206 outside the circle. It replaced the former Gateway Motel in that same spot.
