BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township is now releasing expanded data on age ranges of individuals who have died from coronavirus, citing that the range is from 40 to 100 in town.

As of Thursday, there were 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bridgewater, for a total of 298 cases. Of those confirmed cases, 49.6 percent are female and 50 percent are male.

Also in the township, there are a total of 32 deaths from COVID-19.

According to data released Thursday, there have been two deaths under age 50, two for ages 51 to 65, nine for ages 66 to 80 and 19 for ages 81 and older.

The township does not have specific data on recovered cases at this time.

As of Wednesday, Raritan Borough had a total of 56 COVID-19 cases, and reported its fourth COVID-19 related death of a 65-year-old.

"I hate how commonplace it is becoming to report a death," Raritan Mayor Zachary Bray said. "But it is a reality when it comes to a virus so dangerous and unknown."
