BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Board of Education and the Bridgewater Raritan Supervisors Association have come to an agreement that will expire in two years.

The board members voted unanimously June 25 to approve both the memorandum of agreement and corresponding salary guides with the supervisors’ association. The contract began on July 1, 2019, and will extend to June 30, 2022.
The agreement was ratified in the form of a resolution under the personnel section of the school board’s agenda.
 
Effective July 1, 2019, the base salaries of the BRSA were to increase 2.25 percent. As of July 1 of this year, base salaries would again increase by 2.25 percent, with another close to $4,500 to be distributed each to a few BRSA members, as explained in the mutually-agreed upon salary guides, as stipends.

The same is set to occur on July 1, 2021, with another increase of 2.25 percent, plus the distribution of about $4,500 to several individual BRSA members.

The board also approved the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 re-appointments for the BRSA. A total of 33 individuals were listed, all of whom were assigned as supervisors.

A total of 27 individuals were listed for 10 months a year, with 12 others listed for 12 months annually.

All were also listed as district-wide, except for four who were cataloged as high school. In addition, 28 of the 39 supervisors were listed as tenured.
