BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Each week, two students at Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be honored as students of the week.
Students are chosen by teachers and staff in the high school.
The students of the week for the week of April 16 are:
- Ariel Staffin - (nominated by John Wilson) Ariel is a leader in our performing arts program. She participates in a myriad of activities and is always the first to lend a hand. Ariel has a positive disposition and has excelled in creating new arrangements.
- Nicholas Araya - (nominated by Dustin Frey) Nicholas began the school year extremely motivated to do well in geometry, and has not only maintained that motivation throughout the year, but has exceeded all expectations. Nick has had one of the top three grades on every quiz and test this year, and has constantly been involved in class discussions. While that can be said about a lot of students, what has really impressed me is how Nick has strived to excel even further. He has consistently questioned us to test his own theories and expand his knowledge on the material. He has also taken the initiative to help any classmates who are struggling, volunteering to work with them to re-teach the current topic or guide them in completing examples. The ability to show this level of dedication, motivation, commitment and kindness to others throughout the entire school year is something that should be commended.
Editors Note - Every week we will publish the BRHS Students of the Week. Congratulations to all those students recognized.
