BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Ayati Club, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, held a special game night at the middle school to spread information about the New Jersey-based non-profit that works to promote education and optimal hygienic practices in rural India for girls and women who do not have access to them.
The informative event included ring toss, bean bag toss, cup stacking competition, hula hoop competition, sack race and more.
All money raised at the event was donated to the Ayati Charity, which was started by four Indian moms, who collect money for the cause. Ayati means dignity.
Officers in the club are president Saloni Patel, a junior; vice president Hannah Naseer; and secretary Subha Nanduri. They are advised by french teacher Shilpa Wakde.
