BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater-Raritan High School students Ella Nussman and Isabella Panico recently earned their Silver Award in girl scouting.
The girls visited multiple fourth grade classes over two consecutive school years to identify areas of concern for students as they leave primary schools and move to Eisenhower Intermediate Shool. Nussman and Panico created a video and supporting handout for the fourth grade students from Milltown, JFK, Van Holten and Bradley Gardens schools to view before entering Eisenhower Intermediate school.
The video helps the students ease nerves and addresses their top questions and concerns. Since they were so well received, Nussman and Panico plan to visit classes each year and support the fourth graders. This project was used to earn their Silver Award through the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey.
