BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Sean Hanna Foundation for Pediatric Cancer will host its annual 5K Run/Walk Oct. 5 at Duke Island Park.

The event will begin at 10 a.m., and will include food, awards, giveaways, raffles and music.

All the money raised from registration fees and sponsorships will benefit children with cancer.

The foundation was founded in 2008, and provides a comprehensive support network for families battling pediatric cancer. It aims to ease the burdens of patients and families suffering from pediatric cancer through a variety of support services and scholarships.

Registration is available online, and participants can also register the day of the event from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Registration is $25 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Sean Hanna Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Discounts are available for USATF members, military service, senior citizens and groups, and awards will be given to the top overall finishers, both male and female, top three finishers for 14 years old and younger, and 15 years to 19 years, plus 10-year age groups.
