BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council unanimously tabled a resolution for the amendment of a contract between Bridgewater Township and the Borough of Manville regarding the Somerset County Animal Shelter.
The shelter provides animal adoptions, as well as animal control services to both Bridgewater and Manville, by collecting stray and wild animals on a 24-hour basis. The facility also rescues injured animals, and even works to reunite lost pets with their owners.
In both 2017 and 2018, the council unanimously authorized an agreement to support the Somerset County Animal Shelter, for an amount not to exceed $155,000.
