BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A raccoon on Ardmaer Drive in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater tested positive for rabies, according to a Facebook post from Bridgewater Township Tuesday.

Residents should be cautious of any wildlife exhibiting unusual behavior. Animals that are rabid are usually vicious and aggressive, and can appear to be drunk, in a trance or have trouble walking.

In addition, the post said, some animals may appear to be normal, but still be rabid.
