RARITAN, NJ - Raritan Borough is holding a Mayor's Fitness Challenge from now through November to help residents stay healthy.
The borough is looking for people to participate alongside Mayor Zachary Bray and the events committee to make 2020 a healthier year.
Those who walk, run or exercise daily can get rewarded and possibly win prizes for taking those healthier steps. There will be checkpoints July 24 and Nov. 14 to celebrate participants' success.
Participants are asked to track their progress using an app or Fitbit, then email monthly numbers via a screenshot or picture to events coordinator Linda Schulte by the end of each month at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three people every month.
To get involved, email Schulte at firstname.lastname@example.org with name, address and phone number.
