BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Fire District No. 3 is holding a special vote in late November to request the funds for new fire fighting equipment.

The district comprises the Green Knoll Fire Company, North Branch Fire Company and Country Hills Fire Company.

The district commissioners have determined that it is necessary to replace one of their most heavily used and aging fire engines, and are going to a vote Nov. 23 for voters to approve the purchase to replace the fire engine.

If approved by the voters of district three, they will enter into a Lease to Buy program, with payment not to exceed $650,000 for the new fire equipment.

According to the district, there will be no impact on the fire district budget that was previously approved by voters in February.

The vote will be held at the Green Knoll Fire District, on North Bridge Street. The polls will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
