BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police were called to Ardmaer Park Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the pond.

According to a release, at about 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, police were sent to the park for a report of a vehicle in the Ardmaer Park pond.

Julia Gomez, of Somerset, was driving a gray Toyota Sienna west on Old York Road when she left the road and crashed into the pond, partially submerging the car in the water.

Robert Wood Johnson Mobile Intensive Care Unit Medics Michael Calabrese and Ryan Mulhall arrived moments after the crash, the release said, and they waded into chest high water to pull Gomez from the vehicle. Gomez was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset for evaluation
