BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle and sustained minor injuries in the Village at Commons Thursday afternoon, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

According to police, a vehicle was traveling west on Crossing Boulevard at 12:19 p.m., when the operator drove through a green traffic light and attempted to turn left on Commons Way. At the same time, police said, two adult female pedestrians had just left The Village at the Bridgewater Commons Mall, and were walking east within a marked crosswalk and attempting to cross Commons Way.

Police said they were struck by the vehicle.

One pedestrian had a laceration to her head, and the other complained of pain in her left hip, leg and back.

The driver was issued a summons for failing to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
