BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A request for a new fire truck for fire district #3 passed in a vote Saturday, according to the unofficial results.

The count was 385 yes to 97 no votes, according to the unofficial results 

Fire district #3 was asking residents to vote for replacing one of their most heavily used and aging fire engines.

With the approval, the plan is to enter into a Lease to Buy program, with payment not to exceed $650,000 for the new fire equipment.

There will be no impact on the fire district's budget that was approved by voters in February.
