SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ - The Somerset County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of a local scam with people identifying themselves as CDC workers and conducting a study referencing coronavirus.

According to a post on Facebook from the office, they have learned from a local law enforcement agency that people are visiting homes and identifying themselves as workers from the Centers for Disease Control, conducting a study about the virus.

The sheriff's office is advising residents not to let people in who identify as CDC workers, and to contact the local police department immediately.
