BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- The Bridgewater-Raritan baseball team split two games on Saturday, defeating Piscataway, 5-2, under the lights at the Prince Rodgers Complex to conclude a long day.

The Saturday itinerary also included the Panthers' participation in Bridgewater Youth Baseball's opening day ceremonies in the morning, and a road game at Roxbury in the afternoon. The Panthers (now 6-3) lost the day game, 10-4.

Highlights from the evening victory included two hits and three RBI for Greg Verano, a two-run single by David Olsakowski, Manny Correia's first varsity hit and pitcher Justin Peterson throwing three scoreless innings to earn the victory in his varsity mound debut.
