BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Five members of the Bridgewater-Raritan football team have been selected to the 2019 Mid-State 38 All-Delaware Division First Team, as selected by the conference's coaches.
Senior quarterback Alex Fromberg and senior lineman Johnny Confalone, of BRHS, both were chosen for the division's First Team Offense. Junior defensive back Miftar Hasanaj, senior linebacker Brett MacMath and junior kicker Michael Pastor all represent the Panthers on the First Team Defense.
Fromberg completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,777 yards, 12 touchdowns and only four interceptions, and rushed for 366 yards and five TDs. Pastor kicked nine field goals in 10 attempts and made 17 of 19 extra-point tries. Hasanaj made 47 tackles and, on offense, led BRHS in receiving with 42 catches for 529 yards and four TDs. MacMath led the Panthers in tackles with 92 and rushed for close to 300 yards on offense. Confalone helped protect Fromberg from opposing pass rushers and helped Bridgewater gain 1,150 yards on the ground.
Junior tight end Bryce Myers and senior wide receivers Tyler Tangolics and Nick Vizzoni were named to the Second Team Offense. Mickey Wasko and Gerrard Redden, both senior linemen, and senior DB Zach Atanasov of Bridgewater were chosen for the Second Team Defense. Junior DB Ryan McKinney of the Panthers was given honorable mention.
