CAMDEN, NJ — Half a dozen CVS Pharmacy locations in Camden County will begin providing drive-thru tests for COVID-19, following the company’s announcement of 45 new screening locations across New Jersey.
CVS began to offer the tests in April at 11 locations, before Thursday’s expansion.
As far as how the tests are conducted, drivers must administer the self-swabs while a professional observes through a window to confirm it is done properly.
“Opening access to testing to more locations using our drive-thru window represents an important milestone in our response to the pandemic,”president and CEO of CVS Health, Larry Merlo, said in a statement. “We remain grateful for the daily efforts and sacrifices of our front-line colleagues who make the continued expansion of our testing possible."
Camden County locations include:
Camden, 3002 Mount Ephraim Ave.
Cherry Hill, 1 Route 70 East
Clementon, 9 Berlin Road
Gibbsboro, 74 South Lakeview Drive
Pennsauken, 4315 Marlton Pike
Runnemede, 824 Black Horse Pike
The company said results will be made available in approximately three days.
Anyone seeking to get tested, which you can register for by clicking here, must qualify through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) criteria and other guidelines.
