CAMDEN, NJ— A Camden man was shot and killed Tuesday morning near the intersection of Ferry Avenue and Kossuth Street in the city’s Centerville neighborhood, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday.

At about 10 a.m. on Sept. 17, Donte Brown, 31, of Camden, was found laying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, the prosecutor’s office said. He was found by a Camden County Police Officer who was flagged down by indviduals who reported that a man was shot.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and was later pronounced dead at approximately 12:52 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time, the prosecutor’s office said.
