CAMDEN, NJ — Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying three individuals who may have information on the kidnapping and killing months ago of Curtis Jenkins III, the grandson of the Camden City Council President.
The Camden County Police Department and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office released surveillance footage Friday showing the three unknown individuals. Authorities advise that members of the public should not approach the persons in the video.
Jenkins, 20, was kidnapped and robbed while he was delivering food near the 2800 block of North Congress Road on July 1 at approximately 11:30 p.m. He was found dead the following day in an abandoned garage on the 1100 block of Liberty Street.
Two men had previously been charged in connection to the abduction and murder in July, both of whom are being held until trial.
Brandon Beverly, 32, was charged with first-degree murder in Jenkins' death, while Jalen Carr, 22, was charged with armed robbery and weapons offenses for his role in a home-invasion robbery police say directly links to the kidnapping.
Authorities said no further information is being released at this time with the investigation ongoing.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911, or contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Elvin Nunez at (856) 614-8078 or CCPD Detective Colin O’Sullivan at (856) 757-7042.
