"All Worlds, All Times"

On Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. the West Jersey Chamber Music Society (WJCMS) presents “All Worlds, All Times,” a free live-streamed concert featuring works for string quartet and quintet that explore the inspirations composers draw from countries and cultures outside their own. The live video broadcast will be available at concert time at WJCMS.org/AllWorlds.

“All Worlds, All Times” spans compositions and arrangements from the 18th century through today, with works by Joseph Bologne de Saint-Georges, Valerie Coleman, Antonio Lauro, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Juan Bautista Plaza, and Florence Price, among others. The concert title is derived from an etching on the Golden Record, which was sent into space in 1977 aboard the Voyager spacecraft to demonstrate the diversity of Earth’s culture to extra-terrestrials. The record contains Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Cavatina” from Op. 130, which also appears on the concert. Host Ivan Woods will introduce each piece and explore its inspirations throughout the program.

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society is a professional choir and orchestra committed to producing chamber music concerts of the highest quality that are easily accessible to residents and visitors to Southern New Jersey. WJCMS seeks to enhance the quality of life for music lovers, those new to music, and children in the community through the uplifting and inspiring power of music. Learn more at WJCMS.org.

This concert will be streamed live online at WJCMS.org/AllWorlds beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

This program is generously sponsored by Whitesell Construction Co., Inc.

Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Burlington County Board of Commissioners, Department of Resource Conservation, Division of Parks.
