CAMDEN, NJ — All that a group of students from Camden and Pennsauken needed was a second chance.

It came in the Gateway to College program, a dual-credit alternative to high school that gives 16 to 20 year olds the opportunity to earn both a diploma and college credits. The 74 graduates for 2019 made up the largest class in the program's eight-year run at Camden County College.

"I hope the lesson you took out of this program is that hard work has its rewards, like an opportunity to move forward with your life," said Donald Borden, president of Camden County College, at the graduation ceremony Thursday afternoon.
