CAMDEN, NJ - A full slate of City Council and School Board meetings await Camden residents in 2020.

Starting Tuesday, Jan. 14, the City Council will meet at 5 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall at 520 Market St. The council began the year with a swearing-in ceremony on Jan 2 for new council members Shaneka Boucher and Victor Carstarphen.

Boucher and Carstarphen will join Council President Curtis Jenkins, as well as councilmembers Felisha Reyes-Morton, Marilyn Torres, Sheila Davis, and Angel Fuentes. The Camden School Board will begin meeting Jan. 28 at 5:30 pm at Thomas H. Dudley Family School, 2250 Berwick Street.

The board swore in Nyemah Gillespie, Falio Leyba-Martinez, and Elton Custis on Jan 3. The three will join board president Martha Wilson, and members Wasim Muhammad, N’Namdee Nelson, Theresa Atwood, Carmen Otero and Yolanda Whidbee.

City spokesman Vincent Basara said council meetings are not available to view online. School board meetings are available on Channel 19 and will be posted typically within a week to the city’s YouTube page.
