CAMDEN, NJ — A construction project in East Camden that began Friday will require the continued closure of Federal Street between River Avenue and East State Street through the second week of October.
The section of the heavily-trafficked road falls in a work area outside of the new ResinTech Inc. headquarters, where Wyndham Construction crews are replacing pavement and sidewalk through an expected completion date of Friday, Oct. 11.
From Monday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 4, crews will operate on an overnight schedule, closing the half-mile stretch of Federal Street from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Then over the next week, Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11, the stretch will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Scheduling is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events, Camden County officials said.
“Crews will be required to work during both daytime and overnight hours at different stages of this project. It’s important that motorists are aware of this schedule and plan their commutes accordingly,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “When driving through the construction area, always be mindful of sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and any personnel or equipment that might end up in the roadway.”
