Investigators said that through his 911 call, it was determined that English was calling from a vehicle in Pleasantville.

Pleasantville, Absecon, and Galloway Township Police Department officers, as well as the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, arrived to the 400 block of E. Delilah Rd.

"English barricaded himself in his car and after hours of a standoff, ran from his vehicle into the woods while brandishing a handgun," police said. "An officer from the Absecon Police Department was able to successfully apprehend English without incident."

English is facing one count of first-degree murder, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joe Wysocki.

He is currently in custody at the Atlantic County Jail on weapons charges.
