CAMDEN, NJ — The Camden County Police Department (CCPD) is currently searching for an individual who allegedly fatally shot a man, 30, and wounded a woman at midnight Thursday.

"Police were dispatched for a ShotSpotter Activation on the 700 block of Mt. Vernon St. shortly after 12 a.m. Thursday," the CCPD said in a statement. "When they arrived, detectives said they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds."

The man, later identified as Quinton Norman of Camden, was pronounced dead at the hospital, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki said this afternoon.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, is still receiving treatment, according to authorities. 

No arrests have yet been made.
