CAMDEN, NJ — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the male suspect in an alleged sexual assault during the early morning hours Tuesday.

The Camden County Police Department said a female victim was sexually assaulted at the 600 block of Kaighn Avenue at about 4 a.m. Prior to the incident, the victim had spent time with the suspect earlier in the evening near the Broadway corridor, police said.

The suspect is described as an African American man between the ages of 30 and 40. He is approximately 5-feet 3-inches tall and has a thin-to-medium build.

The man was reported to have medium length dreadlocks and last seen wearing a white tank top, black jeans, and a black baseball hat. He was possibly carrying a plastic shopping bag around the time of the incident, police said.
