2014 SPECIAL OLYMPICS USA GAMES & CROSS RIVER NETWORK ANNOUNCE PROMOTIONAL PARTNERSHIP
The 2014 Special Olympics USA Games announced that Cross River Network (CRN) has signed on as a Promotional Partner and will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2014 USA Games “Victory Ride” to the Closing Ceremony on June 20 at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.
The 2014 Special Olympics USA Games will be hosted by New Jersey, June 14-21, 2014. Nearly 3,500 athletes will compete in 16 sports, supported by 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 70,000 spectators.
Beginning now through the conclusion of the 2014 USA Games, CRN will leverage its network of digital screens on the New York Waterway ferry system to promote the event and the message of Special Olympics. As Presenting Sponsor of the Victory Ride, CRN will be recognized on the fleet of buses that will carry the athletes and coaches to the Closing Ceremony, as well as in all external communications regarding the culminating celebration of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games.
“As a resident of Hoboken that takes the New York Waterway ferry frequently into New York City, I understand the tremendous value this partnership with CRN brings to the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games,” said TJ Nelligan, Chairman & CEO of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games. “Each day, thousands of commuters will have the opportunity to learn about the Special Olympics and the upcoming 2014 USA Games which will hopefully lead to increasing support and a change in perception of individuals with intellectual disabilities.”
“We are excited and proud to partner with the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games,” said John Buckman, Co-Founder of CRN. “With CRN’s network of screens on the New York Waterway ferries and at the terminals, we will be able to promote and celebrate the astonishing accomplishments of the athletes participating in the 2014 USA Games up and down the Hudson River. It is our goal to bring a full team of volunteers to the event in June of 2014 to celebrate these incredible athletes on their Victory ride to the Closing Ceremony.”
