MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - Ryan Beegle, Sam Ellis and Alex Krack all placed in the top 10 to power the Chatham boys cross-country team to the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference Large School Championship on Tuesday at Greystone.

It was Chatham's first NJAC title since 2014. The Cougars posted the low score of 65 to top Delbarton (107) and avenge an early-season loss to the Green Wave. Chatham's top five averaged 16:40, 16 seconds faster than the week-three average time of its batch meets.

Sophomore Beegle placed third with a time of 16:16, and was closely followed by junior Ellis, sixth in 16:19 and sophomore Krack, eighth in 16:26.

Jake Fortuna was 22nd in 17:05 for the Cougars and senior captains Finn Grosso (17:13) and Greg Himstreet (17:13), placed 28th and 29th, respectively, for Chatham.
