Chris Peters, Chatham High's Boys Lacrosse team captain, gives a check to Senior Services of the Chatham executive director Pam Mansfield.

CHATHAM, NJ -The Chatham High School boys lacrosse team recently made a donation to Senior Services of the Chathams, a 23-year-old, not-for-profit organization.

“This is the second year in a row that this group of caring athletes took up a collection for us,” said Pam Mansfield executive director of senior services.  "Because the municipalities of Chatham Borough and Chatham Township contribute only about 20% of our operating funds, we depend on donations like this one to make ends meet."

Senior Services of the Chathams' mission is to keep older citizens actively involved and engaged in the community.  It runs the senior center, a transportation service for those that don't drive, support groups and an information and referral service on a variety of geriatric issues.
