MENDHAM, NJ - Chatham scored with seven minutes left in the first half when Kelsey Burke collected a ball just outside the 18-yard box, took two touches and powered the ball just under the crossbar, giving Chatham a 1-0 girls soccer victory over Mendham on Thursday.

Chatham coach Chris Mazurkiewicz described the goal as a "wonderful piece of individual skill by Kelsey Burke."

Morgan Maltby delivered another stellar performance in goal for Chatham (3-4) by collecting 10 saves en route to her first shutout of the season. Mendham is1-5.
The Lady Cougars open their Morris County Tournament campaign Saturday when they take on Morris Knolls in Denville at 1:30.
