CHATHAM, NJ - Liam Cadden improved his time by a full minute over last year, but he felt he was fortunate to win the 40th Jaycees Fishawack Run on Saturday.

The Chatham High junior won the race by 18 seconds over his nearest competitor with a time of 22.10.64. Matt Solomon of Vermont was second in 22:28.84 and CHS senior Matt Stasiukevicius was third in 22:41.60.

"I came in fifth last year and I improved by a minute," Cadden said. "I feel kind of fortunate because two of my teammates who are really, really good were unable to run it. Bo Raadam - he's hurt and the other one is Colin Logsdon, who is at the Meet of Champs."
