The Decker family, who moved to Chatham from Hoboken about a year ago, had the whole family in action on Saturday, with dad, Pip, taking the kids, Gabby, 2 1/2, and 5-year-old Ben in and out of a stroller as he ran. Mom Meghan Decker followed up by competing in the 4-mile Fishawack race.
"This is our first Fishawack since we moved to Chatham," Meghan Decker said. "We were getting ready to move at this time last year."
Jean Earle used the fun run to help train her service puppy, Gerda, who is learning to ignore distractions while being an assistance dog. Earle reported that Gerda still needs some training.
