MENDHAM, NJ - Second baseman Sean Lee had two hits and drove in two runs, and three pitchers combined on a five-hitter as Chatham posted a 4-2 baseball win over Mendham on Thursday.

The Cougars (9-2) play host to Jefferson in the second round of the Morris County Tournament, 1 p.m. Saturday at Chatham High.

Against Mendham, Matt Karpowic was the starter and winner for Chatham. Billy Gyves followed with middle-inning relief and Jimmy Cunningham came on to earn the save, striking out four of the eight batters he faced.

On Monday, Chatham had won a road game at Montville, 5-2, behind the pitching of Matt Stamford and Matt Devlin and the hitting of catcher Chris Delsandro. Stamford pitched five strong innings before Devlin came on to pitch the final two innings for the save. Devlin also had two hits, including a double and an RBI. Delsandro contributed a triple and two RBI for the Cougars.
