Chatham Basketball Player Berntsen Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, NJ - Amanda Berntsen, a senior guard at Princeton University, has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week in women's basketball.

Berntsen played for coach Joe Gaba at Chatham High from 2008 through 2012 and finished as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,964 points.

Berntsen had 20 points and five assists in a victory over Yale and then put up 13 points, six rebounds and four assists in a triumph over Brown to earn the accolade.

Over the past four games, Berntsen has connected on 69 percent of her shots from the floor, including 62.5 percent from 3-point range.

Residents of Chatham to Receive Second Fundraising Letter Asking for Their Support of the Chatham Emergency Squad
