CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department showed residents the skills it takes to safely extract someone trapped in an auto accident on Saturday at its Open House held at the fire house.

Firefighters Travis Prost, Alex Chin, A.J. Sweetin, Corey Duren, George Traver Jr. and Dave Allan used hydraulic tools to remove the door of a Ford Explorer supplied by Glenn's Automotive and Towing.

Inside the firehouse, firefighters Paul Carroll and Don Kidd served up hot dogs and chili for the visitors.
