CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Borough Mayor Thaddeus Kobylarz campaigned on reviving the local economy and he announced on Monday night that he is following through with the first meeting of the Chatham Borough Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Kobylarz announced he will head up the first meeting of the committee - open to the public at 7 p.m. Wednesday in borough hall - Monday at the regular meeting of the Borough of Chatham Council.

"It will be the inaugural meeting of what I consider a very important committee," Kobylarz said. "The committee was created last November to advise on ways of establishing and preserving a flourishing economic and commercial sector or environment here in the borough. We'll be working diligently in the months ahead to develop a list of priorities and set up subcommittees to address them in regard to economic revitalization here in the borough."

The council members acting as liaisons to the advisory committee includes council president Jocelyn Mathiasen and council member Len Resto.
