CHATHAM, NJ - On June 19th, 2018, Officer Agnes Cisek, Det. Joseph Crecca and Officer Brian Maher responded to an apartment at the 500 block of Main Street on a drug overdose. Officer Cisek was the first to arrive on the scene and found the victim unresponsive, lying on the living room floor - not breathing and no pulse.

Officer Cisek administered the medication Narcan as Officer Crecca initiated CPR and attached an external defibrillator. Shortly after administering Narcan and beginning CPR, the victim began to show signs of life and was later turned over to the care of Chatham Emergency Squad and Paramedics.

The victim was transported to an area hospital. Patrol was assisted by Detective Andrew Chase, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Peer RecoveryCares.

All persons charged with an offense are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
