Chatham Borough Police Report Video Shows Burglary Suspect Drives White Ford Escape

CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Borough Police Chief Phil Crosson Jr. notified residents on Monday that additional motor vehicle burglaries have been reported in the last week, and that video footage shows that a suspect in the burglaries drives a white Ford Escape.

An Alert Chatham Borough message from Crosson reported that "The vehicle is the same that was used in other towns for motor vehicle burglaries. The vehicle appears to have no front license plate and no inspection sticker."

The CBPD reported that individuals have entered locked and unlocked vehicles in the last week, taking miscellaneous items.

Crosson reminds residents to lock their cars, remove valuables and not to leave items in plain sight. Remove keys and garage-door openers from the vehicle.

"If you're a victim of any type of burglary, do not disturb the scene," Crosson said in his message.
