Chatham Boys Lacrosse Hopes to Crash Delbarton's Morris County Tournament Party Tuesday Night at FDU

Chatham is hoping for this kind of celebration after the Morris County Tournament Championship game is played Tuesday at FDU in Madison Credits: Glenn Clark

CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham has built one of the elite boys lacrosse programs in Morris County, but the Cougars will be looking for validation 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night when they meet up with with Delbarton to decide the 2017 Morris County Tournament Championship at FDU in Madison.

No. 2 seed Chatham (14-1) has never won the MCT crown in the 29-year history of the county tournament. Top-seeded Delbarton (11-1) has won 15 county championships and will be looking to extend its streak to five titles in a row.

The only other teams besides Delbarton to win an MCT title are Mountain Lakes, with 12, and Kinnelon with two.

Delbarton defeated Chatham in overtime in the 2015 MCT final and the Green Wave own a  5-1 decision over the Cougars this season. Since that April 4 meeting at Delbarton, Chatham has won 12 in a row.

Thomas Berger scored off a pass from Frank Anello for Chatham's only goal in ;that loss to Delbarton. Junior Mac Bredahl, Chatham's leading scorer, was held without a point for the first time in his career in that game.
