Chatham Bridging the Gap to Benefit from Fairmount Ladies’ Holiday Luncheon

The community is invited to join the Chatham Bridging the Gap team for a festive day of shopping and lunch during the Fairmount Country Club’s Ladies’ Holiday Luncheon on Wednesday, December 2.

Shopping at vendor stations starts at 10:30 a.m. The luncheon begins at 12 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person. The Fairmount Country Club is located at 400 Southern Boulevard in Chatham.

Chatham Bridging the Gap temporarily “bridges the gap” by helping individuals and families in Chatham who might face an unexpected financial set-back due to a loss of employment, divorce, death of a spouse or a catastrophic illness.

“Chatham is the community that we know and love because of the people who live in it,” said Mary Lonergan, president of Chatham Bridging the Gap. “Residents right here in our neighborhood may be going through some difficult times and chances are, people don’t even know it. This is where Chatham Bridging the Gap steps in to help.”

For those who meet the eligibility requirements, Chatham Bridging the Gap assists individuals and families in a respectful way at no cost and in a highly confidential manner. We learn about the most pressing needs and help find solutions to help get the individual or family back on their feet.

Services provided by Chatham Bridging the Gap include: temporary financial support for necessary bills, in-kind gifts such as clothing, shoes, household items, etc., budgeting assistance, job search assistance, sports/club fee waivers, handyman types of home repair, emotional support and making connections with Morris County services for available services.
